That's a good question! There are lots of good churches to choose from. We are aware of many. It's helpful to remember however that when Christianity was in its infant stages the believers met in homes. These house-churches were small communities of faith that were also a part of the larger Body of Christ. These "clusters of Christians" offered the people numerous settings in which to practice their faith, love, and service.
Sure Foundation is a Interdenominational Christian fellowship. This means that although we fellowship and work with other churches, we are not directly affiliated with any known denomination.
We do enjoy a special fellowship with groups of believers identifying themselves with Calvary Chapel. There are over 1,000 of these independent churches that sprung from the original Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA. This fellowship is based on the foundational principles of the Christian faith and seeks to bring believers together rather than divide them by specific interpretations of the Bible. For more information on Calvary Chapel, visit their website at
http://calvarycca.org/ and check out the "About Calvary" section of the Library.
Sure Foundation was birthed on November 20th, 1998. It began in a living room and later moved to a basement reconditioned into a sanctuary. We've also been in two public school gyms before settling in our present location in Grayslake.
Sure Foundation adheres to and earnestly promotes the Christian Gospel as God's only method of saving. Considering both its crucial nature and our Lord's emphasis concerning it, we believe that the spreading of this gospel is the Church's top priority. We affirm that this gospel saves through regeneration and results in a spiritually transformed life.
To love God and people through evangelism, discipleship, and servanthood.
We envision being matured by God into able, authentic successors to the Apostles -- empowered by the Holy Spirit, living a biblical reality, spreading biblical truth and developing into God's agency of spiritual transformation for all people.
